Nail Art Water Decals

This week, I’d like to share a very special product with you, something that you will only find at “Viva La Nails:” our very own “Viva La Nails” Water Decals.

These Decals were specially designed by my production team to work perfectly alongside all of the most popular nail art techniques. Being a nail artist myself, I know which designs attract clients and which ones don’t. Keeping this in mind, we’ve developed an exceptional series of ready to use Water Decals.

What is truly great about these products is that they allow you to create complex, intricate designs even if you are still in the beginning stages of your training as a nail art technician.

This makes it easy to offer full colour designs to your clients even if you haven’t completely mastered the free hand technique. Even standing alone, these decals make quite an impression. Use them in coordination with other techniques, and things can only get better. And remember, you can only find this set of Water Decals at the “Viva La Nails” online store.

How To Use Water Decals

Step 1 – Our Water Decals come in coordinated sheets. To use an individual decal, carefully cut it out from the sheet. You’ll want to cut out as many pieces as you plan to use on your client.

Each sheet generally comes with a variety of sizes. So, for example, if you buy a sheet of “Viva La Nails” flower decals, you will receive five different sizes of flowers on the sheet. This allows you to either choose a single size for your task or to mix and match sizes for a variegated effect.

Step 2 – Now, put each of these pieces into a bowl of warm water; use a manicure bowl if your have one, but an ordinary bowl should work fine as well.

Step 3 – Allow the pieces to soak in the water for just a few seconds, and then remove the first piece that you plan to apply using your fingers. You can also use an orange stick for this process if you so desire. This works especially well with smaller pieces.

Step 4 – Hold the water decal carefully on one finger as you use a second finger to gently slide the backing off of the piece.

Step 5 – And the moment of truth: put the water decal on the nail. Don’t be in a rush! You have time to manipulate the positioning of the decal. It won’t dry for at least a minute. Once you get the decal into place, makes sure that there aren’t any pockets of air trapped underneath its surface.

Continue applying the rest of the decals in any configuration that you or your client desires.

Step 6 – Your decals will take just a few minutes to dry. Once they are finished, simply apply a layer of clear top coat in order to secure their positioning.

You can try any of our three different designs. Each is manufactured to provide a lot of potential for experimentation. Of course, you can also mix and match between sets, which looks really great! We currently offer the following three sets:

    Flowers,
    Hearts, and
    Ornaments

And watch out in the future! We’ve got further designs currently in the production stages. I’m working with our designers to cook up some edgy new pieces that are sure to make your clients go wild.

But for now, there’s plenty of experimentation to be done with just these three sets!
